Crescenzo DiCecco is an Italian-Canadian composer, pianist and producer born and living in Toronto.

His relentless hunger for learning sees him at home composing and playing with choirs and funk bands, tabla players and DJs and this openness to collaboration takes him to venues as far and wide apart as night clubs and churches; to dive bars, and carillon towers.

Crescenzo made his debut as a composer with his high school Wind Ensemble composing the piece Triumph in 2014. After which he attended the University of Toronto studying composition with Dr. Elliot Britton and James Rolfe. During his four years there he composed for the Hamilton Chamber Choir, Carillon and other small ensembles while also writing solo piano pieces.

Here he began to explore the harmony and philosophy of improvising in Jazz and free-form modalities. All these branches of music continue to find their way into his creative process which is part of what makes his music so uniquely moving.

Shortly after graduating he attended a workshop in Glastonbury, England lead by Jill Purce who transmitted her knowledge of Tibetan Overtone singing. Later that year after studying the Meisner acting technique he wrote and acted in a One-Man Show at The Pink Light Stage in Toronto directed by Robyn Kay. It featured 7 original songs and a script written by himself.

Forthcoming projects are an album with his world music Ensemble Running Rivers and an Ep of his own compositions.
